Pet Stain & Odor Removal

Pet urine odor removal across the High Desert that treats the source

Pet urine smell keeps coming back because the urine is still down in the carpet and pad, and moisture wakes it up. Kount On Us treats pet spots for homes in Victorville, Apple Valley, Hesperia and the High Desert at the source: an enzyme treatment that breaks the urine down, then a rinse and extraction that pulls it out. If a spot has soaked into the pad for a long time, we'll tell you before we start. Call (760) 948-7070 or text (760) 403-6890, and sometimes we can come the same day.

Why pet urine smell keeps coming back

When urine dries, it leaves salts behind in the carpet and pad. Those salts pull moisture out of the air, and every time they get damp, the smell comes back. That's why a spot can smell fine for weeks and then hit you again on a humid day, or right after a regular carpet cleaning.

Scented sprays and shampoo just cover it up. The fix is breaking down what's actually there and rinsing it out.

Cats, dogs, and the spots you can't find

Tell us where the smell is strongest. We work the spots you know about and look for the ones you don't. Pets tend to go back to the same places, usually along walls, in corners and behind furniture, so one stain you can see often has company.

Cat urine is stronger and harder to get out than dog urine, and cats are good at finding hidden spots. One customer called us about stubborn cat pee. We came out the same day, and the stain and the smell were gone.

What not to do before we get there

  • Don't use a steam cleaner or hot water on it yourself. Heat can set the stain and the smell.
  • Don't use ammonia cleaners. Urine already has ammonia in it, and the smell can draw pets back to the spot.
  • Don't scrub. Blot with a white towel to pull up what you can.
  • Skip the scented sprays. They hide the smell for a day or two.
  • Keep pets away from the spot so it doesn't get worse.

Honest about old pet damage

If urine has soaked into the pad over a long time, cleaning may not get all of it. In bad cases that section of pad needs to be replaced. Urine can also bleach or darken carpet dye, and cleaning can't put the color back. We tell you that before we start, not after.

Rugs and couches too

Pets don't only go on the wall-to-wall carpet. We treat area rugs and couches too. List every spot when you book, furniture included, so we bring enough treatment and plan the time.

Keeping it from happening again

Clean new accidents right away by blotting up as much as you can. Keep the litter box clean, since cats will go somewhere else if it isn't. And if a house-trained pet suddenly starts having accidents, call your vet. It can be a health issue.

How it works

  1. We find the spots.
  2. We apply an enzyme treatment and give it time to work.
  3. We clean and extract the area.
  4. We check the spot again and re-treat heavy areas.

Questions

How much does pet stain removal cost?

It depends on how many spots there are and how far the urine has soaked in. Tell us where the spots are and we will give you a price before we start.

Will the smell come back?

Treating the source is what keeps it from coming back. Very old spots that reached the pad may need more than one treatment.

Can you come the same day?

Sometimes. Call (760) 948-7070 or text (760) 403-6890 and we will tell you the soonest opening.

Is the treatment safe for my pets?

Keep pets off the area until it dries. Ask us about the products when you book.

Why does it smell worse after I cleaned it?

Water wakes up dried urine salts and the smell comes back stronger. It means the urine is still in the carpet or pad. It needs a treatment that breaks it down, not just a rinse.

Can cat urine be removed?

Often, yes. Cat urine is harder than dog urine and cats tend to use hidden spots, so tell us where you smell it most and we will look for the rest.

Do I need new carpet pad?

Not always. If urine has soaked through the pad over a long time, replacing that section of pad may be the only full fix. We tell you if we think that is the case.

How long until pets can walk on it?

Once it is dry, usually a few hours. Keep them off it until then so the treatment can work.
